What is DAXBOT Pro and How does it Trade?

DaxBot PRO is a Metatrader 4 expert advisor designed especially for the DAX30 index. It is not intended to be used on other FX pairs, however it will run on other Indices (DOW/NASDAQ) with the correct sets. The DAX30 is Europes’ most heavily traded index, it is volatile and fast moving – perfect for day trading.

DaxBot PRO Edition replaces previous bot the V3.1. In March 2021 we released beta version and placed on demo followed by our own live €50,000 account in April 2021. Daxbot PRO uses fixed lots so client can trade any leverage they want up to 500:1 if their broker allows it.  DaxBot PRO does not use any martingale tactics or grid trading of any sort. Every trade comes with stop loss and take profit and is totally independent of the next trade.

DaxBot PRO historically can return 40%+ per month and keep drawdown under 50%. Users can “pro-rata” this metric to any leverage they like. E.g 20% month and 25% drawdown etc, or 4% a month and 5% drawdown. EA user has full discretion on lot size, it is not governed by the expert advisor.

Key Trading Logic:

First thing in strategy development is rule definition. DAXBOT PRO has clearly defined hard trading rules. ​ Trading is a simple business that humans over complicate. Win more than you loss and you have a stable system. Our system has a high win rate of 75% & a profit factor of 1.65. Our averaging holding time for a trade is 1.5 hours, ensuring we do not hold and hope, win or loss, we exit.

The cornerstone of the strategy is based on price congestion levels, support/resistance and key pivot points.

Like most major indices (DOW, CAC, FTSE, S+P), much of the action is witnessed in the early hours of opening, this is the perfect time window to establish a position as many banks, hedge funds and institutions are frantically placing orders. We called this the “golden hour”, and respected properly can be harnessed to make a fantastic trading system. Our system will open the earliest trade at 8am CET at market open. The DAX30 is a rapid market and the system seeks to exploit the first explosive move of the trading session, using fixed loss and profit orders.

DaxBOT PRO will place a maximum of three (3) orders during the day and if not triggered, they are removed at 9pm CET.

One of the greatest attributes of the system is a rest easy approach to trading. Trades are typically over quickly, leaving the trader the rest of the day to focus on other activities. It is 100% automated and requires no babysitting. No lingering orders, overnight trades or grid positions, it ticks all the boxes for trading sanity. An often overlooked part of trading is decision and emotion. Traders need to learn to switch off from trading and trade to live, not live to trade. In this regard, we consider our system a “lifestyle” expert advisor that makes traders money without overtaxing their time and life.

Using take profit of 100 pips (points in DAX) and a hard stop loss maximum (often much lower) of 100 points, trader can easily set their risk metrics as each trade has a finite loss. DaxBot PRO uses a trailing stop function that activates at +20 points to lock in profit and trail the trade to exhaustion.

The backtest was completed using10.0 trading lots (10.0 = €10 a point in DAX) as you can see from the equity line.
